O filho do atacante Kempes, vítima do acidente aéreo da Lamia, em novembro de 2016, realizou um sonho na última terça-feira. João Gabriel conheceu alguns dos grandes nomes da Seleção Brasileira, dentre eles Neymar. Nas redes sociais, Vanessa, viúva de Kempes, agradeceu pela realização do sonho do filho:

After being knocked out of the Carabao Cup for the first time in five years by West Ham United, followed by losing 2-0 at home against Crystal Palace at the weekend in the Premier League, it’s safe to say it has been a disappointing week for Manchester City.

Their next match sees them back in Champions League action on Wednesday evening with a clash against Club Brugge, who City managed to convincingly beat 5-1 in their previous match against the Belgium club last month.

Since then, the 31-year-old, who is currently valued at £36m according to Transfermarkt, has made 220 appearances for the current reigning Premier League champions across all competitions in which he has managed to score 41 goals and provide 28 assists along the way, showing how much of an attacking threat he is from midfield and a real game-changer for the team.

Last season saw Gundogan end City’s Premier League campaign as their top goalscorer with 13 goals under his belt.

Looking ahead to the Brugge match, we feel that the £140k-per-week earner should be in the starting XI so Guardiola can rotate some of his midfield options and rest some that he may want to be fully prepared for their next Premier League match at the weekend against rivals Manchester United.

كان النصر في بداية الصيف الحالي يخطط للتخلص من بيتي مع التعاقد مع محترف جديد ومع وصول عبد الرحمن غريب زادت الأنباء بشأن نية النصر في رحيل بيتي مارتينيز وضم لاعب آخر.و

بحسب مصادر مقربة من النصر فإن النادي لا يخطط لرحيل اللاعب الأرجنتيني بسبب ضعف العروض المقدمة من أجله من الجانب المالي.

سبب آخر دفع النصر للحفاظ على اللاعب يرجع لاقتناع المدرب رودي جارسيا بقدراته في معسكر ماربيا في إسبانيا هذا الصيف حيث ظهر اللاعب بشكل متميز في المباريات الودية التحضيرية للموسم الجديد.

وكان النصر قد أنهى الموسم الماضي في المركز الثالث في جدول ترتيب الدوري السعودي للمحترفين، ليتأكد مشاركته في كأس السوبر المحلي.

Celtic should make Jota’s temporary move to the club a permanent one as soon as possible, according to former Scotland international James McFadden.

The Lowdown: Jota shines on loan

The 22-year-old joined the Hoops on loan from Benfica in the summer transfer window and he has made an immediate impact this season.

Jota has registered four goals and assists apiece in nine Premiership appearances and has contributed to 12 goals in 14 games across all competitions, quickly proving to be a key player for Ange Postecoglou’s side. As per WhoScored, he is the third-best performer currently in the Hoops’ squad for the 2021/22 season.

The hope is that the Portuguese’s loan move could become permanent eventually, but nothing is confirmed on that matter currently.

The Latest: McFadden wants permanent deal

Speaking on Sky Sports [via The Daily Record], McFadden was in no doubt that Jota would be a huge asset for Celtic if they seal a long-term deal for him. The pundit said:

“I’ve watched him a number of times and the first thing is his work-rate, he works so hard for the team.

“He’s got so much quality on the ball, he can go either side. He doesn’t mind when the ball is down the left hand side just putting it into an area with his left foot.

“He’ll cut inside, he’s got a trick, he’ll take people on. He gets two goals and an assist and he just looks a real, real good player for Celtic. They have the option to buy him – I’d be taking it right now.

“When you look at his performances domestically, he transfers that to European games. He’s been excellent in Europe.

“I know that against Betis and Leverkusen they didn’t get the results they were looking for but at times the performances were there and Jota was magnificent.

“For me, the performances he’s put in, I would pay it.”

The Verdict: No-brainer for Celtic

Signing Jota permanently makes complete sense for the Hoops, with his immediate impact showing perfect proof that he is worth keeping beyond a loan deal.

There is a £6.5m option to buy the attacking midfielder, which on current form looks like it would be a steal, especially given his age.

Other successful loanees like Fraser Forster have come and gone, but judging by Jota’s performances so far in Glasgow, it’s easy to see why McFadden is imploring Celtic not to drop the ball on the 22-year-old when it is firmly in their court.

West Indies opener Omar Phillips – who made a solid 94 – rued missing a century on debut on the third day in Kingstown, and acknowledged he had missed one of the easiest opportunities to reach triple-figures in international cricket. “It was one of the easiest hundreds you will ever get at this level and I was really disappointed,” Phillips said at the end of the day’s play. “The hundred was in the bag for the taking but that’s the way cricket plays, to carry on from here is the hardest step because the next innings starts from zero.”Phillips’ innings had laid a strong foundation for a sizable lead before Bangladesh struck back to limit the damage to 69 runs. Fast bowler Rubel Hossain and offspinner Mahmudullah – both on debut – grabbed three wickets each to undermine a strong batting effort early in the day from the hosts. Phillips displayed sound technique and determination in his 177-ball knock which included seven boundaries, and was supported well by nightwatchman Ryan Austin in a dogged stand of 79.
