علق الدولي الأوروجوياني فيدي فالفيردي لاعب وسط ريال مدريد الإسباني، على تصريحات محمد صلاح مهاجم ونجم ليفربول الإنجليزي، قبل المباراة المنتظرة بين الفريقين السبت المقبل.

ريال مدريد يواجه ليفربول في نهائي دوري أبطال أوروبا بالعاصمة الفرنسية باريس، يوم السبت 28 مايو الجاري، بعد أن تأهل الملكي على حساب مانشستر سيتي، وأطاح الريدز بـ فياريال.

نهائي متكرر بين العملاقين الإسباني والإنجليزي، بعد الذي جمع بينهما في 2018 بـ كييف، وانتهى 3/1 لصالح ريال مدريد، وشهد إصابة محمد صلاح وخروجه من الشوط الأول.

وبسبب تلك المباراة، يسعى محمد صلاح للثأر من ريال مدريد، وأكد في تصريحات عديدة لأكثر من جهة، أن هذه المباراة بمثابة الثأر ومحاولة تعويض خسارة نهائي 2018.

فالفيردي في تصريحاته بحوار مطوّل مع صحيفة “ماركا” الإسبانية، قال: “الآن نحن في النهائي، كلما كانت المباريات تبدو صعبة ويشعر البعض أنها تضيع، كنا نعود، لأن فريقنا دائمًا يمكنه الاستفاقة في أي وقت، والاستمرار في القتال حتى نهاية المباراة، هذه الطاقة التي لدينا لا يمكن تفسيرها”.

وعند سؤاله حول تصريح محمد صلاح قبل مباراة مانشستر سيتي أنه يفضل مواجهة ريال مدريد على فريق بيب جوارديولا، قال فيدي: “هذه التصريحات تحفزني”.

وأضاف: “تلك التصريحات يمكن لأي شخص أن يفسرها كما يريد.. لكنني منافس، وأشعر أن الأمر يشبه الاستخفاف والتقليل من أهمية ريال مدريد واللاعبين”.

وأشار: “كل ما علينا فعله هو تقديم أفضل ما لدينا أمام ليفربول، ومحاولة إظهار سبب وصولنا إلى هذا النهائي.. ونأمل أن نحصد لقبًا آخر هذا الموسم ونمنحه لجمهورنا”.

A magnificent 101 from Jacob Oram helped New Zealand stave off a spirited England bowling performance as the first Test at Lord’s petered to a draw. Oram’s fifth Test hundred rescued New Zealand from a tricky 120 for 4, but with excellent support from Daniel Flynn, whose immaculate composure earned him a dogged 29 from 118 balls, New Zealand take the honours while England enjoyed the best of the conditions.In an interview prior to this Test Oram spoke fondly of Lord’s and his burning desire to have his name etched on the honours board. “If you had a five-wicket haul or a hundred and had to retire the next day,” he said, “you’d probably still be fairly happy.” Judging by the pride with which he celebrated, there isn’t a cat in hell’s chance of him retiring – and, with the return to form he showed today, New Zealand need his cultured strokes at No. 7 for the next two Tests. With Brendon McCullum casting a daunting figure at No. 5, New Zealand’s middle and lower-order contains the spunky verve that their top-order traditionally lacks. England, beware.Oram’s knock will have been especially enjoyed by McCullum, not least because he himself failed by three runs to reach a century in the first innings. But moreover, it was McCullum’s earlier injury – a brutal blow to his bare forearm, hit by a vicious bouncer from Stuart Broad – which underlined the value of Oram’s rescue-act. Broad, in the middle of a very lively spell from the Pavilion End, had tested McCullum’s resolve with several bumpers, the best of which he couldn’t avoid. For reasons known only to McCullum, he doesn’t often wear an arm guard but the purple sprouting bruise that appeared might force him to change his mind. With the four early wickets England had taken earlier, New Zealand were effectively 78 for 5.Enter Oram. He scratched and poked unconvincingly for his first thirty runs, in particular struggling against Ryan Sidebottom, his nemesis in the winter. But eventually he broke the shackles off Monty Panesar, clumping him over midwicket for a four and a six to raise his – and New Zealand’s – confidence. Flynn, meanwhile, scored statically but showed excellent composure – never troubled by his motionless scoring-rate but happy to nudge singles when possible. His contrasting anchor role to Oram’s increasingly free-flowing innings was stark, but necessary and highly impressive.Oram really opened up after tea, and began to resemble the batsman of two years ago. A thumping pull off Broad over midwicket was followed by the deftest of dabs to third man; another huge swipe into the pavilion off Kevin Pietersen took him into the 80s, while he swept for more runs down to fine-leg. The runs were now flowing and England’s initial hopes of forging an unlikely victory appeared lost. The new ball, their last hope, was dispatched with fury by Oram, smacking Sidebottom square with a flowery flourish and bringing up his hundred in imperious style with consecutive drives for four. His fifth Test hundred came from 120 balls, and the satisfaction with which he celebrated epitomised the deep respect Lord’s holds for touring teams.England thought they had a chance earlier in the day, however. Aaron Redmond fell cheaply and, once the ball was changed in the ninth over of the day, it suddenly began to swing. James Marshall – whose duck lasted nine, torturous balls – was trapped by a booming inswinger to leave New Zealand on 52 for 2, before Jamie How produced the first of the day’s rescue missions. Unlike his top-order team-mates his footwork was in excellent order, cover-driving Anderson with ease and hooking the same bowler over square leg.The contrast in technique between How’s solidity and Ross Taylor’s glitz could not have been greater. Taylor’s wasteful pull in the first innings smacked of a batsman still hungover from his Indian Premier League partying, and here in his second innings, he was in a panicky hurry to assert himself. It was not a tactic New Zealand’s balcony will have enjoyed. Trying to leave another Anderson outswinger, the ball clipped the toe of his bat and flew between second and third slips. Taylor responded two balls later with a free-flowing cover-drive for four: perfectly timed and executed, but impetuously played. His luck ran out on 20, lbw to Panesar.It would be tempting to say New Zealand have escaped with a draw here, but it would be plain wrong. McCullum dug them out of their hole in the first innings as Oram did today, and although their top-order lacks any sort of solidity, their bottom six are as sticky and resilient as ever. England have a fight on their hands, and thank goodness for that.

The Latest: Favourites for Tuanzebe

As per The Chronicle, the North East club are in ‘pole position’ to sign Tuanzebe on loan from Manchester United.

Steve Bruce worked with him while he was at Aston Villa, and is said to believe that he has a ‘bright future’ ahead of him.

The Tyneside club are ‘leading the race’ for his signature, and both Tuanzebe and his camp have been left feeling ‘delighted’ by their interest.

The Verdict: Sign

Given that Bruce has already worked with Tuanzebe before, he will know how to get the best out of him, and the fact that he is ‘delighted’ by the Magpies’ interest in him suggests that he would give his absolute all for the Toon Army.

Described as ‘outstanding’ by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after an impressive UEFA Europa League performance against Granada back in April, he has the capabilities to reach the very top.

The six-foot-one colossus already has the experience of playing in the top flight, and can play in a wide range of different positions (Transfermarkt), the kind of versatility that would be very useful to Bruce’s squad.

Nonetheless, at just 23 years of age, Tuanzebe certainly has a lot of potential, and can really develop as a player at the Toon, should they be able to sign him.

كشفت تقارير صحفية منذ قليل اقتراب نادي توتنهام من الحصول على خدمات لاعب فريق إنتر ميلان إيفان بيريسيتش، في صفقة مجانية.

ومن المقرر أن ينتهي العقد الحالي للاعب الكرواتي مع إنتر ميلان في يونيو المقبل، دون وجود لاتفاق بين الطرفين حول التجديد.

وحاولت إدارة إنتر ميلان تجديد عقد بيريسيتش، إلا إنها فشلت في مساعيها بسبب الاختلاف حول مدة العقد الجديد والراتب.

وحسبما ذكر الصحفي نيكولا شيريا منذ قليل، فإن إيفان بيريسيتش بات قريبًا من الانتقال إلى الدوري الإنجليزي، وتحديدًا فريق توتنهام.

وأشار إلى أن بيريسيتش سيوقع عقدًا ساريًا حتى عام 2024، مقابل 6 مليون يورو في السنة.

وأفاد إنه من المتوقع أن يتم الفحص الطبي والتوقيع في الساعات المقبلة، قبل الإعلان رسميًا عن تلك الصفقة التي ستكون الأولى لـ توتنهام هذا الصيف.

Nottingham Forest have released their third kit for the upcoming 2021/22 league campaign, and it’s safe to say that it’s sparked quite the reaction on social media. 

The design is labelled as a ‘compelling blend of orange and fluorescent yellow’, and it’s certain to catch the eye over the course of this season.

The Reds finished 17th in the Championship table last term under the management of Chris Hughton, in what was a disappointing campaign on the whole for Forest, after they had been in with a serious chance of a top-six finish the previous term.

The City Ground faithful will be hoping that their side can make a positive start to the 2021/22 campaign this season, as they look to fire themselves back into promotion contention this term.

Forest are set to take on Coventry City in their opening match of the new Championship campaign, in what could potentially be a tricky test for the Reds at The Ricoh Arena.

Two years ago Phil Jaques was trying to steal Simon Katich’s position in the one-day team and not even a 94 on debut was enough to secure a regular opening. Now the situation has changed and Jaques is being hunted by Katich, who has registered back-to-back centuries as Matthew Hayden’s fill-in.So it was essential for Jaques to make a significant contribution in the final Test of the series to ensure he will remain the first choice alongside Matthew Hayden in India in October. Jaques has improved with each match in the Caribbean – his 9 and 4 in the first contest were followed by 17 and 76 in the second – and his 108 went with 31 on Thursday.Jaques, who is in his 11th Test, said it was an important innings as he tries to secure his place. “Definitely, especially when you’ve got a guy like Simon breathing down your neck,” Jaques said after play. “He’s knocking the door down and playing some really good cricket.”We all know Matthew Hayden is coming back into the team at some point. We’ve both been trying to make every post a winner and make as many runs as possible.”While Jaques was picking up his third Test century, Katich was on his way to an unbeaten 148 as Australia finished the third day at 330 for 3. وقال الخطيب خلال المؤتمر الصحفي: “نعرف أن الكاف صاحب الحق في القرارات، ولكن نحن نقوم بدورنا ونقترح”.

وأَضاف: نفترح أولاً، عودة الدور النهائي للمسابقات الإفريقية بنظام الذهاب والعودة، لأن فكرة النهائي من مباراة واحدة لم تنجح فإفريقيا تختلف عن أوروبا”.

وتابع: “الأمور داخل إفريقيا صعبة وهناك مشقة في التنقلات عكس أوروبا ولا يوجد تأشيرة موحدة ولا عملة مالية موحدة عكس أوروبا، والمسافات بين الدول قريبة للغاية ولا يوجد كل هذه المشاكل التي أشرنا إليها”.

وأكمل: “الاقتراح الثاني، حال استمرار بإقامة النهائي للمسابقات الإفريقية بنظام المباراة الواحدة، يجب على كاف أن يقوم بإعداد لائحة خاصة تضمن العدالة وأن يتم الإعلان عن الملاعب التي ستستضيف المباراة النهائية قبلها بفترة طويلة”.

وتابع: “ثالثاً، علي كاف دراسة تدوير استضافة المباراة النهائية بين الدول الإفريقية وأن يحجب هذا الأمر للدول التي استضافت من قبل مدة 5 سنوات حتى تحصل بقية الدول الإفريقية على نفس الفرصة”.

وأكمل: “يجب أن يقوم كاف بدعم الدول التي لا تملك المقومات لتنمية اللعبة في أنحاء القارة”.

وأردف: “رابعاً، لا بد من تطبيق تقنية حكم الفيديو المساعد في جميع أدوار المسابقات الإفريقية لتطبيق العدالة فنحن في إفريقيا لسنا أقل من أوروبا”.

واستطرد: “خامساً، أن يقوم كاف بإعادة صياغة اللوائح الحالية وأن تكون شفافة ولا تحتمل أكثر من تفسير علما بأننا ندرك بأنها مسؤولية كاف وأن يجب عليه الاستماع لكافة وجهات نظر الأندية الإفريقية”.

وأتم: “سادساً، لا بد من دراسة مضاعفة المبالغ المالية للفرق المشاركة في البطولات الإفريقية لأن ما يتقاضاه صاحب المركز الأول لا يتناسب مع تكلفة الانتقالات والإقامة وعلاج المصابين”.
